I have the following problem that refers to the field Object Family on the Category in transaction COMM_HIERARCHY:
Product Creation:
When I assign an object family to the category CAT_MATERIALS (see Picture3) (Materials) I am not able anymore to create new products (Materials) as the Category dissappears in COMMPR01 (Picture 2). After deleting the object family from the category CAT_MATERIALS I am able again to create new products as categories are becoming visible again.
IObject Creation:
Then if there is NO object family assigned to the category CAT_MATERIALS I can not create new IObjects (Picture1) that I need for my IBases. I have tested this already. I have deleted the products and then I have assigned to the Category CAT_MATERIALS the object family and I could create the IObjects.
What kind of relationship exists between the object family, the IObject and Material Creation?
