As per the process flow of our CRM Service implementation, we are creating workshop quotation as follow-up to an repair service order. Scenario is such that customers send in parts for repair, technicians perform diagnosis on the same and depending on the scale of the job to be performed, they issue a quotation. Now on some occasions while creating such a quotation (i.e as follow up from the order), we get an error on the screen saying ''Assign partner function Sold-To Party with another partner or maintain the exclusion list in the master data for partner ......''.
I can see the cause of the issue. This is because there is an exclusion set for the sold-to party in Master Data. This is as expected. However my question is why does this error come up only in a follow up transaction and not the main one.? i.e we did not get the same error on the order (from which the quotation was created).
What is the setting to change and have the same error appear on the order itself so that this is rectified before creating a follow up?
