Product Modeling using the CRM Product Modeling Engine

Buz case is the following :

The main purpose of the product configuration is to determine a component, by selecting a characteristic value (let's say the color)

Components are provided by ECC.

The main configurable item is created in CRM.

i would like to map the characteristic value to the component id in the configuration model. how to handle that ?

example : if characteristic value = "RED", then component id = ECCPRODUCT123
